Despite Palestine being the moral litmus test of our time, few Buddhist and meditation centers have spoken out against the Israeli-US genocide in Gaza or ongoing ethnic cleansing in the West Bank. Several western centers have implemented bans on political speech and symbols since October 7, 2023, with the design of banning kuffiyehs and other expressions of Palestinian freedom. This is a travesty we cannot overlook. To safeguard our practice space, we guarantee that free-speech will not be influenced by regimes or donors, including weapons manufacturers, big tech, Zionist or Hindutva organizations, or other ethno-nationalist or white supremacist entities.

Donations to decolonial dharma will go toward artist and operational staff funding for our bad buddhists Substack, website, and newsletters. Any remaining funds will be donated at the end of the year to land-back initiatives on Turtle Island.
